This bridge is a good representative example of a mid-20th Century pony truss in Ontario. It carries a two lane road which appears to see a fair amount of traffic including trucks. The bridge appears to remain in decent condition, however rust is beginning to show through the paint system suggesting that planning should begin for at least a spot painting if not a more comprehensive repainting. The bridge retains original lattice railings. The bridge appears to be unaltered from its original design except for one change. On a couple panels of the truss web a secondary diagonal member was added from the middle of the main diagonal member down to a bottom chord connection. Immediately east of the bridge is the concrete substructure from the previous bridge at this location.
