Like many of Toronto's bridges, this one crosses a creek and its ravine, which is thickly wooded making the bridge nearly impossible to photograph, even when leaves are off the trees.
This bridge is an unusual example of a closed spandrel arch bridge, due to its long span length. Large concrete arch bridges of this size and span length more typically were open spandrel arch bridges. Additionally, the width of the arch itself is quite narrow, while the deck cantilevers far beyond the arch, giving the bridge unusual proportions and appearance. The arch itself is unornamented. The railings on the bridge are not original, and the cantilevered deck also appears to be non-original, and may be wider than the original bridge. The arch itself appears to be unaltered, and retains its original design and appearance.
