Bridge Documentation

This bridge currently has two truss spans, but a third span appears to have been a truss span and the truss was removed, new piers were added, and stringers installed. Additionally, when this bridge was documented by HistoricBridges.org additional work was happening. The work may have been with the approach spans, many of which are concrete and are not original either. Some potentially original timber approach spans also remain. John Stutz contacted HistoricBridges.org and suggests the missing (approximately 150 foot) truss span was replaced with the girders ca. 2008. Concrete beams added to the northeast end of the approach appears to have taken place ca. 2015. As of Google Street View photos dated July 2019, all of the SW approach's timber trestle across the flood plain, has been replaced with 30' reinforced concrete deck spans or filled and armored.

This bridge is next to a rainbow arch bridge.
