This bridge is right beside the Beaverdams Road Bridge, which is an attractive pony truss. It is interesting to compare a truss bridge that is sitting next to a plate girder and see how they differ in size, appearance etc. with a similar span length. This is a relatively large plate girder span.
The railway itself is long gone, and the wooden deck appears to be starting to fall apart. The bridge has been fenced off. When the nearby truss bridge was demolished and replaced, this bridge was demolished as well, leaving this location devoid of all heritage.
