Vernon as late as 1995 had a beautiful historic through truss, that they demolished and replaced. Today, the only even remotely noteworthy bridge in town is this small through plate girder. The bridge is on an abandoned railroad, although it sits next to another set of tracks which are still used. Oddly, the other set does not cross this drain, because the drain then travels between the two sets of tracks, which eventually head off in different directions to the south. This plate girder is skewed.
