This is the only railroad bridge in town, and by 2014 was also the only bridge in town with even a sliver of historic significance, thanks to the demolition of two other highway bridges in town. This bridge consists of a riveted through plate girder main span plus two steel stringer approach spans at one end. The steel stringer spans appear to be modern replacements. It is not know what spans were originally here. Also, the bearings of this bridge appear to have been replaced. The main span plate girder however is largely unaltered and retains good historic integrity. It is traditionally composed with no unusual design details. The ends of the girder are not curved, unlike many railroad plate girders what have a rounded rectangle design at the ends.
