This large pin-connected through truss bridge also features an unusual Y approach structure at the north end. The northeastern part of the Y is particularly unusual as it passes over another railroad line and has some unusual bents that straddle the railroad tracks below, this design was to accomodate an elevated train station. The plate girder approach spans have American Bridge Company plaques on them but reportedly the Pennsylvania Steel Company also played a role in the bridge's construction.Lengths given are estimates, and the total length represents the length via the northwestern ramp, which is the only one still used by trains.
