View Information About American Bridge Company's Bridge Works in Ambridge

This bridge is one of the most impressive railroad bridges in Pittsburgh, and this bridge, which is a busy, active rail line, is a beautiful contributing structure to the unrivaled collection of beautiful historic bridges that Pittsburgh contains. This bridge's distinctive and utterly massive appearance comes from its use of vertical endposts, a large main Pennsylvania truss span, and four truss lines composing the total bridge width.

Research revealed a photo of Thomas Mason, an inspector for the bridge project. His photo is shown to the right.
