View Archived National Bridge Inventory Report - Has Additional Details and Evaluation

This is one of the more attractive, larger, and least altered concrete t-beam bridges in Pennsylvania. Its historic significance has been recognized as the bridge is formally considered eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge retains original concrete balustrade railings. The remains of steel light standards remain on portions of the bridge. If the bridge were to be restored, these remains could serve as a guide to replicate light standards. Currently the bridge has been closed to traffic. Thus, its future is uncertain.

The previous bridge at this location was a wooden covered bridge. The concrete t-beam bridge was built at a cost of $75,000.
