This bridge appears to have been a Luten arch bridge which was widened on one side using steel stringers and a standard county design railing. The original side of the bridge retains paneled railings that match those used by companies who built bridges under the Luten patent.
Information and Findings From Pennsylvania's Historic Bridge InventoryDiscussion of Bridge The single span, 101'-long reinforced concrete arch bridge was widened in 1956 with 3 apns of simply supported steel stringers with steel bents. The exposed spandrel wall is scored to accent the arch, and has scored panels in the concrete parapets. The stringer face has a standard concrete balustrade. The altered bridge is a later example of the reinforced concrete arch type, and it is neither historically or technologically distinguished.
