This is an unaltered example of a county-designed 1930s truss bridge, and as such it differs in design from state designs in use at the same time.
Information and Findings From Pennsylvania's Historic Bridge InventoryDiscussion of Bridge The 1937, one span, 105'-long, riveted, Warren with verticals pony bridge is supported on concrete abutments with flared wingwalls. The trusses are traditionally composed and have no innovative or distinctive details. All members are built up from standard shapes, and the original lattice railings are inside the truss lines. The bridge is a late and undistinguished example of its type and design, and neither it nor its setting are historically or technologically significant. The bridge is nearly identical to 41 0442 0030 0000 that was built in 1927 by the county. Discussion of Surrounding Area The bridge carries a township road over a stream in a sparsely developed, forested setting just east of SR 14. There is a passive recreational park on the east side of the bridge and modern houses beyond the SW quadrant. The setting does not have the significance to be a historic district.
