This bridge is not very significant, but it has a bit of a mystery to make it interesting. The bridge has riveted hub-guard railing with v-lacing, the sort that is found on some historic truss bridges in this region. The bridge has signs of modern alteration, like how the railings are welded to the bridge, something that would not be done during the time that riveted hub guard railing was used. The bridge sits on concrete and stone abutments, and there is a crudely built steel bent at mid-span, composed of pipes and an i-beam. The National Bridge Inventory lists a 1973 construction date. If this is accurate, the bridge appears to be at least partially constructed with old bridge parts. If this is not accurate, 1973 could indicate an alteration date, and the bridge might be an old steel stringer bridge that had a bent added in the middle at a later date.
