This spectacular bridge features some of the longest pin-connected deck truss spans in the country. The navigation span is notably longer than the other spans and has a polygonal bottom chord. This is the span that stands out as one of the longest of its kind. The historic integrity of the bridge appears to be outstanding. The bridge rests on stone piers. The bridge was listed as having a 52 foot navigation clearance when built. Engineering periodicals of the period noted that the Keystone Bridge Company fabricated the bridge.
