Located at the site of the oldest bridge in the city, this rare continuous through truss has been paired with a modern through arch bridge which dates to 1975-1976. Steel on the bridge bears the names Bethlehem (noted on the lower bracing) and Illinois (noted on truss members). Previous bridges at this location included a timber truss bridge dating to 1839, and an 1882 iron bridge (possibly a pin-connected Camelback through truss)
