Thanks to the demolition of the historic Traffic Bridge, this rare pin-connected deck truss bridge is the oldest bridge in the city now. The diagonal members on the bridge are pin-connected while other connections are riveted, a rare transitional bridge showing the movement from pin connections to riveted connections in bridge design. The spans are as follows (in feet): Through truss: 1x175; deck truss (pinned and riveted connections): 5x225; deck truss (all riveted connections): 1x125; deck plate girder: 1x50.
