This is a rare pin-connected Pennsylvania through truss bridge also noted for its camelback configuration of its top chord. The top chord and end posts have five slopes like a Camelback truss. However, as the panels are subdivided, the bridge is considered a Pennsylvania truss, or perhaps a "Camelback Pennsylvania" truss. The bridge includes polygonal Warren pony truss approach spans, which are newer than the main span. It is not known when these spans date to, but they would have been built sometime in the first half of the 20th century. The bridge was bypassed and abandoned in 1986. Given the rarity of the bridge design, this bridge needs to be preserved, perhaps by relocating and preserving the truss in a new location for pedestrian use, assuming there is not a need for a trail in the bridge's current location.
