This bridge, bypassed and abandoned with approach spans removed, is noted for its two surviving pony truss spans, each of a different design. It is not known why the two truss spans are different. The span length of the shorter span is 80 feet. While the difference in length might result in some different member dimensions, the actual truss configuration, connection type, and design of the members is different enough that the spans don't look like they "match" so to speak. It is possible that one of them was relocated and reused at this location. In other words, one or both of these spans might be older than 1936.
