This bridge is an excellent example of a pin-connected Pratt through truss. The National Bridge Inventory lists a 1940 construction date for this bridge which is clearly inaccurate since pin-connected truss bridges were not being built at this time. The bridge appears to date stylistically to 1900-1915.
This bridge recieved an in-kind restoration for continued vehicular use in 2013. The in-kind restoration included the use of hot riveting, and extensive repair of existing original materials. As such even after rehabilitation, the bridge retains excellent historic integrity. The bridge was restored by Bach Steel, with more information available at their website.
