Offering a glimpse into the past is this Warren pony truss with riveted connections on a former Kings Highway alignment. Kings Highway 22 is decommissioned today, known only as CR-22 or London Road, the major road today in this area being the parallel KH-402 expressway south of London Road. This bridge is significant due to its association with an old highway. However, whoever owns this bridge doesn't agree. The deck on this bridge, which is concrete with a layer of asphalt for a wearing surface looks safe from the top. However a look under the bridge reveals deck stringers in abysmal condition, some have completely rusted away in spots, others simply show severe rust and deterioration. If these deck stringers were replaced however, this bridge could be fully restored for pedestrian traffic at least. The truss lines are in decent condition. This bridge features v-lacing under the top chord and also on the outriggers. The railings have been removed however, for unknown reasons, since no new railings are on the bridge in their stead.
