This bridge is the only surviving Marsh arch bridge in Wisconsin, and thankfully it appears to be in a state of preservation. With a 1916 construction date, it is nationally notable as a very old surviving example of a rainbow arch bridge.
Lattice railings are present along Spring Street northeast of the bridge, and may be from a previous bridge. HAER photos of this bridge also show these lattice railings once extended along the southwestern riverbank as well, reaching over toward Central Street. These panels have been replaced however.
