This bridge appears to be a West Virginia standard plan pony truss. It dates to the 1930s. West Virginia was known to be involved with Depression program funded bridges, but it is unclear if such programs were used to construct this bridge. The bridge retains good historic integrity, with the major exception of modern New Jersey barriers placed on the bridge. These barriers detract immensely from the historic appearance of the bridge. However, granted, that these barriers could be removed and replaced with more visually sensitive railings as part of a future restoration, this should not be grounds to consider this bridge unworthy of preservation.
