Context: Westbound lanes of Ecorse Road just before the merge with US-12. These westbound lanes bypass the bridges of the interchange because the interchange bridges only cross the eastbound lanes of US-13. Ecorse Road still maintains and old fashioned look with its narrow concrete pavement with no paved shoulders. The concrete is old, but almost certainly not original. The original concrete did not have reinforcing due to steel shortages during the war.
