Bridge Documentation

With a 1942 construction date, this is not an early example of a vertical lift bridge, and the bridge also no longer raises for boats. However, the bridge is noteworthy for its good historic integrity with no major alterations. The towers of the bridge rest on and are integrated with flanking fixed through truss approach spans on the bridge.
