While it is not known how many concrete truss bridges might be in China, it is assumed they are extremely rare as they are in other countries. As such, this is a highly significant historic bridge. The Howe truss configuration is also rare, but is to be expected given that concrete performs better in compression, and Howe trusses work well with materials that function better in compression.

This bridge has been rehabilitated with patching of the concrete and a grey colored sealant placed on the bridge as well. Also, an unusual alteration is that bolts have been installed through the full depth of truss members at regular intervals. It is clear that the bolts are an alteration that occurred in the most recent rehabilitation, because Street View images from Baidu and Tencent both show the bridge prior to alteration as shown below.
