Bridge Documentation

This bridge has been altered, resulting in a severe loss of historic integrity and significance!

Bridge Status: The main bascule span of this bridge was demolished and replaced with a modern vertical lift span in 2008.

This bridge, sadly altered by loss of its main span, was the work of several nationally recognized engineers. This bridge is unusual in that its main span (the original bascule span) is not the longest span. The approach spans of this bridge range in size including 185, 330, 300 and 300 feet. The bascule span of this bridge was 212 feet in span length.
