This bridge is an excellent example of a Luten arch bridge. The architectural details on the railing follow the typical design for a rural Luten arch bridge. Luten Bridge Company of York, Pennsylvania was one of several independent companies across the country (some of were called "Luten Bridge Company" others were not) that had patent rights to Daniel Luten's designs.

In 1995 a load-bearing glue-laminated timber deck was added which essentially made the trusses decorative only.

This bridge is tagged with the following special condition(s): Luten
