This bridge is a rare example of a style of lightweight bridge that is composed of rolled angles forming a Double-Warren pony truss bridge with vertical end posts. This lightweight style of bridge is rare, yet other examples can (or could at one time) be found with the same general composition in terms of lightweight members and Double-Warren truss design. They may have been a low-cost alternative to heavier and more traditional truss bridge types. This bridge has the additional unusual detail (which is not shared by all examples of this style of truss bridge) of having its endposts extend below the lower chord of the bridge making this bridge a rare example of a bedstead truss bridge. However, the historic significance is not notable in this case, because it appears the endposts on this bridge are modern replacements. This bridge might have been moved to this location, or significantly altered in this location. In either case, it may have not been a bedstead truss originally, and the portions of the bridge which make this bridge a bedstead are modern. Many welds can be seen on the rolled end posts/legs, and modern steel CSC brands were noted on this steel, indicative of non-original steel.
