This group of five bridges is of nearly identical design although the width of the bridges varies (one is a single track bridge the others are double track). They all cross the river at this busy railroad junction albeit at different angles. A scene is quite a striking one as it is unusual to see so many independent truss bridges next to each other in a single location, yet not parallel to each other either. The actual design of the bridges is similar to other railroad bridges crossing the Calumet Sag Channel. The railroad junction is a favorite among rail-fans who photograph the many trains that run through here, so the bridges appear in a lot of photographs.

Additional Online Articles and Resources - This page is a large gathering of interesting articles and resources that HistoricBridges.org has uncovered during research, but which were not specific to a particular bridge listing.
