This abandoned and uncommon Indiana example of a highway plate girder is in bad condition, but is unaltered. It crosses what is essentially an overflow channel. The road and bridge are on a line dividing a forest and farm field. To the west in the forest, there is an evident channel for water to flow in. East of the bridge there is level, planted farmland. This gives the bridge and the waterway it crosses an unusual appearance, making it look like the waterway ends abruptly under the bridge.
