This bridge is one of several historic concrete arch bridges in Elkhart. It has a plaque on it declaring it the Main Street Memorial Bridge in memory of people of Elkhart who died in the "World War" which was what World War I was called before people found out there would be a second one and they needed to start numbering them. This bridge is skewed to a 27 degree angle. Decorative obelisk-type designs are present at the corners of the bridge deck. The bridge had been rehabilitated and has a protective sealant on it.
