This high level tower and girder style railroad bridge is among the largest of its kind, and stands out as unique in Indiana. Only a small portion of Indiana has hills big enough to result in a bridge of this size being constructed, so the bridge design is uncommon in Indiana and this is the largest known such bridge in the state. The bridge was fabricated by American Bridge, and erected by Strobel Steel. Collier Bridge Company of Indianapolis, Indiana constructed the concrete.
