This bridge was documented by HistoricBridges.org not because it is individually unique or import, but because the bridge is an excellent, unaltered representative example of its type. With many larger and more significant historic bridges needing documentation, HistoricBridges.org was not able to devote time to photographing many smaller bridges like this one. However, this bridge appears to be a good example of its type and it likely represents a style of bridge that can be found elsewhere in the state. The bridge is a t-beam bridge built in 1917. In the late 1910s through perhaps the 1930s, t-beam bridges were commonly built for small crossings. A relatively mundane structure type, it is typically the presence of original railings which often are nicely detailed that make them stand out. This bridge includes original concrete paneled railings. Bridges such as this one remain important to review and consider for preservation because they represent a period in transportation history, and are more attractive visually than a modern bridge.
