This bridge is a good example of a small-scale Marsh arch bridge. It was in the ca. 2005-2008 period at risk for closure or demolition, with some local opposition to this. As of 2016, the bridge was still open to traffic, suggesting the efforts of locals to save the bridge were in the short term successful. However, no major rehabilitation has been completed either, so the underlying problems that may have caused closure to be considered were never fully addressed. This is a bridge that remains in need of rehabilitation.
