Bridge Documentation

This large swing span is complimented by large fixed approach truss spans, and is among the largest swing bridges in the region. This bridge has been proposed for demolition and replacement in years past, and given the state's lackluster track record for preservation it is safe to say the future is likely not bright for this bridge despite its high level of historic significance and beauty.

If anyone has photos of this bridge in the open position and is willing to share them with HistoricBridges.org (we will provide photo credit) please contact us.
