This stringer bridge is unusual because it appears to follow the general concept of a state standard plan for steel stringers that was widely built between the narrow gap of 1927 to 1932. The design included a concrete facade over the outermost stringer and concrete balustrade railings. However this bridge differs slightly from the design. It appears as though the county altered the state standards to make the bridge less complicated. The balusters in the balustrade are smaller and simpler in design, and the concrete facade lacks the shaping and architectural detailing usually seen on the design.
The bridge today is in poor condition. Plate steel has been added to patch the bridge deck. However, the historic integrity of the bridge is good since the bridge is unaltered from its original design.
