This is the longest of three bridges on Freeport Avenue SE, all with these regionally unique concrete railings. It is also on a superelevated curve: the stringers are banked but straight, while the railings and deck are curved. The abutments are a simple, uncommon design consisting of steel piles driven into the ground, with corrugated steel retaining wall placed behind the piles. The stringers rest on some of the piles. Modern guardrails have been mounted in front of the original railings. The bridge retains a plaque, which is mounted on the curb in front of the railing, a very unusual place for a plaque to be located. It is obvious why most bridges would never have a plaque mounted in this way: the plaque was covered with dirt.
