This truss bridge is part of an unusual setting where one historic truss bridge was replaced with another historic truss bridge. This bridge was originally built in 1922 over Opossum Creek on MO-51 near Marble Hill. It was relocated and reused here on new alignment in 1995. The old bridge was left standing. The result is two generations of truss bridge design can be seen here.
