This bridge is a truss bridge with a reported construction date of 1937. The use of more rolled beams and less built-up beams than found on older truss bridges is typical for a bridge built in this period. The diagonal members and vertical members are rolled i-beams, while the top chord and end posts are built-up. The bridge has an 18 foot roadway, narrow for a bridge of this age. By 1937, roadways were usually at least 20-22 feet wide. The bridge sits on abutments that appear to be composed of stone abutments from a previous bridge and expanded with concrete to facilitate the existing bridge.
This bridge was rehabilitated in 2008 and it remains in excellent condition today. There was some alteration during rehabilitation, most noteworthy the replacement of the bottom chord and the replacement of the floor beams. The bottom chord was replaced in kind, however bolts were used instead of rivets, as apparently was the case elsewhere on the bridge where rivets were removed.
