Like many of New York City's historic parkways, the Belt Parkway has a number of surviving bridges with historic designs. However, unlike many of the parkways, a substantial number of the bridges on the Belt Parkway stray from the traditional stone faced concrete superstructure designs found in high numbers on other parkways in the city. This bridge is a good example of that. It is an steel beam bridge with attractive arched beams. The fascia beams have riveted brackets attached to them. The abutments are stone faced concrete.
