Bridge Documentation

With an 1842 construction date this is a very old surviving stone arch bridge, and with a 91 foot clear span, this bridge also has a noteworthy span length for its type. The arch ring has a grey stone, while the spandrel wall has a reddish stone. The two tone design adds a unique and attractive aspect to the bridge not found in most stone arch bridges. The bridge has been rehabilitated, but appears to retain good historic integrity. Riveted lattice railings remain on the bridge. These railings are not likely original to the bridge but are old regardless.
