This unique bridge is noted for its extensive and beautiful cast iron ornamentation. In looking at this bridge, without having engineering plans to reference, it is not clear if this is a true structrual cast iron arch bridge (like the arch bridges in Central Park), or if it is a riveted wrought iron arch concealed by cast iron cladding. The bridge is not as old as the Central Park cast iron arch bridges, so it certainly seems possible that they may have switched to a wrought iron arch with cast iron cladding design for this bridge. Length given is an extremely rough estimate.
