Bridge Documentation

Note: Swing span length from end to end is a rough estimate.

There are a lot of railroad bridges crossing the Maumee River in Toledo, considering the size of the river. This is the railroad swing bridge just south of the Anthony Wayne Bridge. It carries a rail-line that serves CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Amtrak. This particular bridge is noted for an unusual modified double-intersection Warren truss configuration, present in both the swing span and the fixed approach spans.
