This high level bridge is noted for its unusually enormous stone piers that are wide enough for three tracks. Currently, the piers support two tracks. The girders for one of the tracks are riveted and the other tracks are supported by modern welded steel girders. The tops of the stone piers have concrete on them as if at some time in the history of the bridge the elevation of the railway line was increased. Lengths given are estimates. The bridge has a missing plaque on the girders, but the shape of the scar left behind suggests it may have been built by the Canadian Bridge Company.
