This bridge is a rare example of a concrete deck girder. The deck is a reinforced concrete slab and there are no distinct floorbeams. This bridge retains unusual, decorative concrete balustrade railings. The bridge sits on fairly tall piers, especially considering the small creek the bridge crosses. These piers were noted, in 2011, to be deteriorated, which may be why the bridge has been closed to all traffic. Caleb Barker revisited in 2022 and found that the piers were much worse, and at risk for collapse, due to a complete break in the pier which is now partly tipped over.
