This bridge is long-abandoned, and appears to serve as an old alignment, and/or low-level crossing of Bayview Avenue, which is today served by the high level deck truss bridge that clears the entire ravine. If the bridge was totally replaced by the high level bridge, than it ceased to be used in 1929, however its possible the old alignment remained in use for a time after the 1929 bridge was built. Assuming the bridge is old alignment for Bayview Avenue, it stands to reason that the bridge is older than the high level bridge... older than 1929 in other words. A historical photo shown below was questionably dated to 1915. If so the bridge has the potential to be an early surviving example of an uncommon bridge type in Ontario.
The bridge is completely unornamented with no decorative aspects of any kind, which is unusual for old bridges.
