This is one of what used to be a large number of beautiful concrete bowstring arch bridges in this county and township. As of 2015, there still is an above average number of this type remaining compared to the rest of Ontario. All this will soon change though, especially in Centre-Wellington Township which has stated that it might preserve one of these bridges on its roads, but otherwise plans to demolish all the rest! This bridge has confirmed short-term plans for demolition and replacement.
