This bridge is a traditionally composed example of a rivet-connected through truss. The section of road that it sits on no longer is open to vehicular traffic, however the section of road and this bridge are maintained for non-vehicular traffic. The bridge has a replacement deck that is far more narrow than the original deck to carry the non-motorized traffic. In addition to the modern railings on this new deck, the original pole railings do remain on the bridge although unfortunately some sections of this are damaged and falling off. The truss itself has not been painted or repaired. Overall it remains in decent shape, but there are areas that would benefit from repair.
