Information and Findings From Pennsylvania's Historic Bridge Inventory

Discussion of Bridge

The 65' long and 22.3' wide reinforced concrete deck arch bridge is finished with concrete parapets with incised panels over the span and the wingwalls. It was built in 1910 and is one of 25 reinforced concrete deck arch bridges in the county dating from 1902 to 1936. It has no innovative or distinctive features and is an example of what by 1910 was common technology throughout the county and state. Neither the bridge nor its setting are historically or technologically significant.

Discussion of Surrounding Area

The bridge carries a 2 lane road over a stream in suburban setting of post-World War II residences. The area does not appear to have historic district potential.
