Discussion of Bridge

The single span, 86'-long thru girder bridge built in 1947 is supported on reinforced concrete abutments with flared wingwalls. The bridge has rolled steel floorbeams supporting the concrete deck. Concrete end posts are at each corner of the bridge. The built-up thru girder type has been in widespread use since the mid-19th century. The bridge is not technologically significant, nor does the setting appear to be historically noteworthy.

Discussion of Surrounding Area

The bridge carries a 2 lane state highway over a stream in a rural area with sparse development. The area does not appear to have historic district potential.
