This bridge is a mostly unaltered example of a Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass. The only alteration is the addition of modern railing to the bridge, however original railings remain behind. The bridge has a concrete facing over the fascia beam for aesthetic purposes. The bridge is not an original turnpike bridge (those would date to the 1930s) so this might be thought of as a second generation turnpike bridge. The bridge is unusual because it crosses the road at a fairly tall height.
